Introduction
1.1 Purpose
The Terms of Use (or "Terms") on this webpage constitute a legal agreement between you, a prospective user of Gopaddi, and Gopaddi Technologies Limited ("Gopaddi," "we," "our," or "us"), and govern your access to, or use of, Gopaddi's services, including all pages within the Gopaddi mobile application, website, and other products and services (referred to collectively as "Services")—except we expressly state that separate terms (and not these) apply.
1.2 Acceptance of Terms
Using any of the Services means express agreement with, and acceptance of, the terms and conditions contained herein in full, without limitation or qualification. If you have any objection to these Terms, you must not use any of our Services.
1.3 Definitions
"User", "Customer", "You", "Your" means a party utilizing any of the Services on our platform.
"Gopaddi", "We", "Us", "Our" means Gopaddi Technologies Limited and its affiliates, assignees, or successors.
"Party", "Parties", and "Us" refers to both the customer and ourselves, or either the customers or ourselves.
"Services" means any of the features, functionalities, and pages on our mobile application or website.
"Supplier" refers to any of the travel service providers, hotels, restaurants, event planners, nightlife (clubs/lounges), and travel agencies on Gopaddi.
"Terms" means the Terms of Use.
"Account" refers to a user profile created on Gopaddi, which allows the user to access and utilize our Services.
1.4 Governing Language
The governing language of these terms and all forms of communication between Gopaddi and you will be the official language of your country of residence.
1.5 Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes in our Services or legal requirements. All modifications will be posted on our platform, and your continued use of our Services signifies your acceptance of the revised Terms. Please review this section regularly for updates.
Eligibility and Account Registration
2.1 Age and Legal Capacity
Gopaddi is designed for users aged 16 and older. By accessing our platform, you confirm that you meet this age requirement or have obtained the necessary parental consent.
2.2 Account Security and Responsibility
Users are required to maintain accurate, up-to-date information during registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities conducted with your account. Notify us immediately in the case of an unauthorized use or security breaches to protect the integrity of your account.
2.3 Account Activation
After registration, users must activate their accounts by verifying their email addresses or phone numbers. Account access will be granted upon successful verification. Failure to complete this process may result in restricted access to our Services.
2.4 Account Termination
Gopaddi reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate our Terms of Use or engage in suspicious activities. Users may also deactivate or delete their accounts at any time by following the designated procedures on the platform.
Subscription Plans and Payments
3.1 Types of Subscriptions
We provide various subscription plans for individuals, suppliers, and businesses to meet specific needs/requirements.
3.2 Payment Terms and Methods
Subscription fees depend on the chosen plan and can be billed monthly or annually. Payments are securely processed via a third-party provider, with billing details accessible in account settings.
3.3 Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds follow the Refund Policy available on Gopaddi. Cancellations, if any, must occur within the specified eligibility period to qualify for a refund.
3.4 Payment Confirmation
Users will receive a confirmation email with details about the transaction upon successful payment processing.
Content and Usage Rights
4.1 User-Generated Content
We do not claim ownership of your content, but by posting/uploading it on Gopaddi, you grant us a global, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable worldwide license to use, distribute, modify, copy, publicly perform, display, translate, and create derivative works of your content (consistent with your privacy settings). This license expires when your content is deleted from our systems. You can delete content individually or by simply deleting your account.
4.2 Intellectual Property Rights
Gopaddi and our licensors retain ownership of all intellectual property on the platform, including trademarks, logos, and software. Users are permitted to access content solely for personal, non-commercial purposes unless explicitly authorized otherwise. Businesses may be granted permission to utilize specific content while adhering to the established framework of usage rights.
4.3 Prohibited and Restricted Content
Gopaddi strictly prohibits illegal, harmful, defamatory, or discriminatory content. Any material that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others is also not permitted.
4.4 Content Moderation
Gopaddi reserves the right to review, edit, or remove any user-generated content that violates our policies or community standards in order to maintain a safe environment for all users. We enforce a strict zero tolerance policy for all objectionable content. The following types of content are strictly prohibited on the Gopaddi platform:
Obscene, explicit, or pornographic content
Hate speech or content that discriminates based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, age, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation
Threatening, violent, or abusive content, including encouragement of self-harm
Defamatory or false information that may damage the reputation of individuals or organizations
Promotion of illegal activities, including scams, fraud, and deceptive content
Spam, phishing attempts, or any form of malicious content
Content violating these standards will be removed immediately. Users responsible may face suspension, account termination, and, where necessary, be reported to legal authorities.
4.5 Content Attribution
When using content created by others, users must provide proper attribution as specified within the platform's guidelines. Violation of this may lead to the content being removed.
User Conduct
5.1 Community Guidelines
Users must interact respectfully on the platform. They must refrain from harassment, hate speech, or any offensive behavior. Violating these guidelines may result in account suspension or termination.
5.2 Acceptable Use Policy
Our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits illegal activities, unauthorized access to systems, and exploitation of the platform. Violating these rules will lead to immediate account suspension or deletion to maintain a safe and secure environment for all users. All Gopaddi users are expected to interact in a manner that is respectful, constructive, and free from abuse. The following behaviors are not tolerated:
Harassment or bullying of any kind — including verbal abuse, intimidation, or stalking
Personal attacks or inflammatory remarks in messages, comments, or forums
Impersonation of other users, companies, or public figures
Attempts to disrupt, manipulate, or exploit the platform or its users for personal gain
Violation of this policy may result in:
Warning or temporary suspension
Permanent account ban
Legal action in extreme cases
5.3 User Responsibilities
5.3.1 Dos:
Follow applicable laws, provide accurate information, and respect others' rights and privacy.
Report any violations of the terms or suspicious activities to our support team.
Use strong and secure passwords to protect your account.
5.3.2 Don'ts:
Partake in fraudulent activities, misrepresent your identity, or infringe on the privacy of other users.
Share account credentials with others or allow unauthorized access to your account.
Engage in activities that disrupt the platform's functionality or impair user experiences.
5.4 Disciplinary Actions
Gopaddi reserves the right to impose disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspensions, or account termination, based on the severity of the user's conduct and the impact on others.
Transactions and Payments
6.1 Payment Processors
All transactions are securely processed by our third-party payment providers. By providing payment information, users authorize the platform to charge the selected payment method for the amounts due. We do not store sensitive payment information beyond what is necessary for processing payments. Third-party payment providers charge a commission for each transaction done on the platform by users.
6.2 Wallet System
The Gopaddi Wallet system is securely processed by our third-party payment providers and it allows users to manage funds for transactions, pay utility bills, convert points, and transfer from their wallet to wallet on Gopaddi.
6.3 Taxes and Additional Charges
All fees and applicable taxes are clearly disclosed during the payment process. Users are responsible for any additional charges as mandated by local laws or regulations.
6.4 Currency and Exchange Rates
Transactions may be subject to currency conversion rates. Users are advised to check the exchange rates prior to completing any international transactions to avoid unexpected charges.
6.5 Payment Disputes
In case of payment disputes, users must contact our support team within a specified period. We will investigate the issue and work towards a resolution based on our policy guidelines.
Supplier and Vendor Policies
7.1 Verification and Eligibility
Suppliers and vendors must undergo a verification process to list products or services. Compliance with the Vendor Code of Conduct is essential for maintaining account status and eligibility on the platform.
7.2 Compliance with Platform Guidelines
Vendors must follow platform standards. They must ensure listings are accurate, reasonably priced, and meet quality criteria. Non-compliance may lead to account suspension or removal of listings.
7.3 Product Listings and Pricing Terms
All product listings must clearly represent offerings, including pricing, taxes, and other applicable fees. Gopaddi reserves the right to remove non-compliant listings or suspend vendor accounts.
7.4 Review and Feedback
Vendors are encouraged to seek customer reviews and feedback about their products or services. They must not engage in any activities that target or retaliate against customers for providing unfavorable reviews.
7.5 Accountability and Reporting
Suppliers are responsible for reporting any violations of policies or ethical breaches. Prompt reporting is crucial for maintaining a fair marketplace for all users.
Points and Redemption
8.1 Points Program
The Gopaddi Points program enables users to earn points through various activities, including referrals, purchases, and active engagement. Users can redeem their accumulated points as detailed in our Redemption Policy.
8.2 Redemption Rules
Points can be redeemed only under specified conditions and cannot be converted to cash. Once points expire, they cannot be restored or reclaimed.
8.3 Program Limitations
Gopaddi reserves the right to modify or discontinue the Points program. Users will receive prior notice regarding any changes to redemption conditions.
8.4 Earning Points
Users can earn Points through referrals, completing purchases, or participating in community events. The point allocation for each activity will be communicated clearly to ensure users understand how to maximize their earnings.
Service Changes and Termination
9.1 Changes to Services and Pricing
We reserve the right to modify our services, plans, or pricing structures. Users will be notified of any changes, and they will have the option to opt out if they do not agree with the updated terms.
9.2 Account Suspension or Termination
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for violations of these Terms or as required by law. Users will receive prior notice when applicable.
9.3 User-Initiated Account Deletion
Users can delete their accounts at any time. Data handling following account deletion will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
9.4 Service Availability
While we strive to maintain uninterrupted service, Gopaddi does not guarantee that the platform will always be available. Users may experience temporary outages due to maintenance or technical issues.
9.5 Feedback and Suggestions
Users are encouraged to provide feedback or suggestions regarding our services. While we value user input, we are not obligated to implement any suggestions provided.
Dispute Resolution and Legal Compliance
10.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and all legal matters will be resolved within this jurisdiction.
10.2 Dispute Resolution Process
Disputes will be resolved through arbitration or mediation before litigation is considered. Users agree to engage in these processes to resolve issues effectively.
10.3 Limitation of Liability
Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. Gopaddi is not responsible for any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our services.
10.4 Class Action Waiver
Users agree to waive their right to participate in any class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration against Gopaddi, ensuring that all disputes are resolved on an individual basis.
10.5 Compliance with Laws
Users are responsible for complying with all applicable laws and regulations while using our services. Gopaddi may take action against users who violate these laws or Terms.
Third-Party Integrations
11.1 Integration with Third-Party Services
Gopaddi integrates with select third-party services, which are governed by their respective terms. Users are advised to review these terms independently. Any data shared with these services is subject to their privacy policies, not ours.
11.2 Responsibilities and Limitations
While we facilitate integration, we are not liable for the performance of third-party services. Disruptions or issues with these services are beyond our control, and we cannot be held responsible for them.
11.3 Data Sharing and Privacy
Users should be aware that data shared with third-party services may be collected and used according to their privacy policies. We encourage users to familiarize themselves with these policies to understand how their data is handled.
11.4 Support for Third-Party Issues
For issues arising from third-party integrations, users are encouraged to contact the respective service providers directly. We may assist with basic troubleshooting but cannot guarantee resolution.
Communication and Notifications
12.1 Notification of Changes in Terms
We will notify users of updates to these Terms via email or in-app notifications. Users are encouraged to regularly check for updates to stay informed.
12.2 Service and Marketing Communications
Users consent to receive necessary service communications and may opt in to marketing communications. Options to manage preferences are available in account settings for better customization.
12.3 Opt-Out and Consent Management
Users can adjust their communication preferences, including opting out of marketing communications, within the platform. Clear instructions will be provided to ensure a smooth preference adjustment process.
12.4 Response Time for Communications
We strive to respond to user inquiries and feedback promptly. Users can expect to receive responses within a specified timeframe, depending on the nature of the communication.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are regulated by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms will fall under the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
Amendments and Updates to Terms
Gopaddi reserves the right to periodically amend these Terms. Users will be notified of significant changes and will have the option to discontinue using our services if they do not accept the revised Terms.
